WELCOME
In 2005 the Parishes of All
Saints, St. George’s , St. Mary’s, St Peter’s,and St Luke’s Portsea in the
heart of the City of Portsmouth chose to work collaboratively. They were
drawn together as a cluster as part of the first project plans for Kairos
by the Portsmouth Diocese. In 2008 they were joined by the Anglican
Cathedral of St Thomas’s. Working together brings not only new energy to
the churches but also the recognition that working in partnership, sharing
experiences and resources and introducing new styles and connections with
the Anglican faith, and celebrating the good things can have a real and
lasting positive effect on the communities that surround them. Networking
like this also provides a consultative forum useful when implementing
national and local strategies which affect Churches in general. At the
same time the Churches retain their own special, historical and individual
identities and activities which can be embraced by the wider communities the
partnership serves.
